The Chillax Basic Bliss and Grand Glacier Cold Plunge solutions are designed to be simple, straightforward, and seamless to install and operate. That said, it is very important not to skip any steps in the setup process.
For installation and setup, it is recommend that you have placed the Tub and Chiller unit where they will be utilized for your Chillax Cold Plunge experience.
Inflating the Tub
Inflation of the tub is straightforward. Use the included inflation pump and connect it to the designated ring on the opposite side of the tub as the "Inflow" and "outflow" water connection ports. Inflate until the tub is firm, which should take less than 1-2 minutes. Make sure not to overinflate the tub, as this can lead to structural damage.
Connecting The Chiller and Tub
February 2024 UPDATE: The Chillax team has been listening to all of your feedback and we are excited to announce we have made several upgrades to the Chillax Chiller as of February:
1) The Chillax Chiller Inlet and Outlet ports of the chiller are now made of stainless steel to increase durability and remove the need for Teflon tape. For those that have recently purchased our "V2" Chiller, Teflon tape is no longer needed.
2) Quick Connects are no longer needed to connect the hoses to the Tub, or the Chiller. Instead, there are rubber washers that now seal the connections between the hoses and the Tub Inlet and Outlet Ports, and the Chiller Inflow and Outflow ports.
Instillation has been streamlined based on the above. If you have the "V2" Chiller, skip Step 1 and Step 2 of the below instructions.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Step 1: Wrap the four (4) included quick connect connectors with 2-3 layers of the included Teflon tape. It is very important this step is completed to ensure no leaks occur between the connections to the tub and connections to the Chiller.
Step 2: Screw in the Teflon wrapped connectors into each of the four (4) connections between the Tub and Chiller. One (1) each for the "Inflow" and "Outflow" ports of the Tub, and one (1) each for the "Inlet" and "Outlet" ports of the Chiller. It is recommended to use pliers on the final half to full turn to ensure no leakage and a strong connection.
Step 3: Utilize the two (2) included quick connect hoses to connect the Tub and Chiller together, in the following order:
- Connect one end of the 1st hose to the Tub "Inflow". Then connect the other end of the 1st hose to the Chiller "Outlet"
- Fill the Tub with water to roughly 1 inch over the "Outflow" port on the tub.
- After the Tub is filled, connect one end of the 2nd hose to the Tub "Outflow". Once you see water coming out of the second hose, then connect the other end of the 2nd hose to the Chiller "Inlet". Do not turn the chiller on yet.
Note: Ensuring all air is removed from the 2nd hose before being connected to the Chiller is important as this allows water to start circulating, effectively "priming" the Chiller to operate.
Step 4: Fill the tub to at least half full, but don't exceed 3/4 full. Once filled, turn on the power to the chiller. At this point, water should begin circulating. If water does not circulate, turn off the Chiller, and ensure the Tub is filled to at least half capacity. Unplug the quick connect 2nd hose from the Chiller "Inlet", wait two (2) seconds for water to be flowing out of the hose, and then reconnect to the chiller and power on.

Note: It is extremely important to utilize the included Teflon tape to wrap the four (4) quick connector pieces that screw into the "Inlet" and "Outlet" water flows of the chiller, as well as the "Inflow" and "outflow" water flows of the Tub (both 60 gallon and 90 gallon).
