The frequency at which you should change your water is specific to the amount of use. If you have a Chiller and are running it every day, we recommend changing your water every 2-3 weeks. If you do not have a chiller, we recommend changing your water every 3 days to avoid algae buildup in your tub (slimy film).
Below are recommended steps to quickly and effectively change the water in your tub:
Step 1: Preparing for Water Change
- Gather Supplies: Have a hose for refilling and a suitable method for draining the water, such as a submersible pump or a drain hose.
Step 2: Draining the Tub
- Disconnect Electric Devices: If using a chiller, power off the unit and unplug from the electrical socket.
- Drain Outlet: Disconnect the quick connect hose from the input of your Chiller (If you have one) and allow water to flow out of your Tub.
Step 3: Cleaning the Tub
- Remove Debris: If necessary, Clear out any visible debris, leaves, or dirt.
- Cleaning Solution: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals that could cause skin irritation or damage to the Tub material.
- Rinse Thoroughly: After cleaning, rinse the tub thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
Step 4: Refilling the Tub
- Check for Leaks: Before refilling, ensure there are no leaks in the tub.
- Refill with Clean Water: Follow the same process as the initial Tub fill with fresh, clean water. Fill it to the recommended level.
Step 5: Reconnecting Electrical Devices
- Chiller Reconnection: Once the tub is refilled, reconnect the chiller and any other devices. Ensure all connections are secure and safe, and the Chiller is working properly.
